The range of Z-Wave is up to 40m between each product that is connected to a permanent power supply and many home devices such as dimmable LED's, LED bulbs, including single colour or colour changing Z-Wave GU10's, There are also remote controllers available that you can pair to your network comprising of many different products that all work together to control various products such as light bulbs and Door sensors.
Z-Wave sensors are available that can switch your lighting on or off when you enter or leave a room, you can even control your products with voice control using a smart speaker such as Amazon Alexa through an Amazon Echo or with Google Assistant (a Z-Wave Hub is required for this feature).
